It's probably partly the crazy weather. Hot then chilly then wet. Plus we aren't used to the humidity. I think sometimes it's just your body saying slow down and take care of me too. Lots of changes for you too. Be kind to yourself for a few days.

You have too many things to do, no wonder you are tired and stressed out. Once it's over you will be able to breathe again. Hang in there.

I agree you are in desperate need of a rest day. Since you cannot do that just yet think about all you have accomplished and how terrific it will be when it is done. You have come such a long ways! The weather can also have a huge affect.

3 layers of goop onto the door with the best stuff we have found to do the job and there is still paint... and probably lead in it i thin i saw 10 layers of paint I was not adding one more and the poor door looked like hell... Not shabby chic. Just utter crap. Necessary. And this is side 1. :P Ladies, I am trying to keep the right attitude but wow it is hard today.

You need a rest day but since you can't quite yet you can try a few things. Take an hour for yourself. Try a hot bath for an bit and tell everyone to leave you alone for it. Grab a book in a comfy chair and read. You deserve to grab some time for yourself so take it and do something that relaxes you. Good luck!

I understand the stress you are going through, just went through it myself on a home renovation. If you can't take a do-nothing day, at least take a "My time hour". The stuff will all get done and you will certainly enjoy it more...probably your family will enjoy it more, too since you will be more rested. LOL Take time to enjoy your life for at least a little while every day and you'll have more days to do just that.

That is a lot of work to re-do a door!! I've replaced almost all my doors and will do the rest as I get to those rooms. Necessity reigns here. My front door did not fit properly and it was like having a window open all the time. It is all new this spring with a good insulated one. The doors to the garage were hollow interior doors so I replaced them with ones up to code and insulated.

When I feel blah, I try to find one really really good thing in my life for which I am truly grateful - it helps me.

this door is original to the house the exterior door was too far gone this is from the mud room which we do not heat into the kitchen. only have 2 more doors that need this kind of attn. and it would be best if i got them done while the weather is good and or i have no hardwood floors to ruin lol...being in maine means good weather now so time is ticking....... almost so bad some days i feel the seconds tick by........ almost have 1 side done some of it is being stubborn. and contractor fixed a gap in the door it will look nice once I am done but it is going to bean all day job. screen door is attached and i think he is putting the cabinet hardware on YAY! and filling under the cabinets where there is a gap
Such a great guy!

Pterath,
I think we have all been there, at least I have. Monday was so bad it was almost comical. Everyone in the office just started snapping at each other until we were all laughing. It helped. The best relief came when I got on the torture device, the treadmill. I hated it. I didn't want to do it, but I felt a lot better when I got off the thing. It just helped to burn off the stress.
Hang in there. There are bad days, yes, but there are good days too. Hopefully, the good days out weigh the bad.

AWWW, I wish you were closer, I would come and help you. My projects could wait, no contractor in the wings, no deadlines to meet, only my own limits that get adjusted all the time.
