RN, davidsprincess, sew uniqu Pearl, thank you guys. I was able to sleep about 5 hours last night which is a good thing and I noticed my cough seems looser today. I still feel weak but it's an improvement. I am calling Dr today to try and get a chest x-ray but it may be to late for that. I just want to make sure nothing else is going on...💜💜

Sending you prayers and good thoughts you get this corner turned. Perhaps ask your dr to extend the round of prednisone. May be a necessary evil. God bless you sis

Did yo have Covid very recently or RSV?

Whew!!!! Im so relieved. Keep me posted please. Also talk to your doc about another 7-10 days of prednisone. When you have deep racking coughs those can and often do tear the alveoli which is the oxygen sacs that line your lungs. These do not repair which over time causes diminished lung function. It’s why it’s so important to get the cough under control. Sorry to be so strident. Im probably projecting my journey onto you. Yay!!!! X-ray will give you good news or not but information is important!!!!! Hoping for a good outcome🥰

Awesome news that you are getting the x-ray! At least that will tell you if you need more help or just stay the course.

Kenna, I tested negative for covering d twice and they never talked to me about RSV. I was so sick that I don't feel I was able to advocate for myself ( if that makes sense) I was weak and not thinking straight. Also a huge factor is that my regular primary care Dr is retiring as he has cancer. Everytime I called to see him they said he was booked for 2 months! They kept referring me to their affiliated quick care. I went twice but they don't know me and probably could care less. They were so hung up with the fact that that my oxygen was at 98 but yet I was coughing a lung up and the guy acted like I was not as sick a I said. Really,?! That was 1 st visit. 2nd visit was more productive but still they don't know my history etc. My doctor's nurse did call but still I couldn't get in to see Dr. It is a mess!💜

When so ill, if possible, take a family member or friend that can ask the questions you are too unwell to think of? Just a thought…..

Hoping and praying you get this figured out and start feeling better. It's tough when your own doctor isn't available. I was going to respond yesterday but then we had an earthquake! 5.4 magnitude and at least 100 miles away but I felt it and so did Bobby and the cats. I had been googling information and asthma and allergists when the earthquake hit. Sounds like you are taking care of things.

Fritzy, no worries and thank you for checking on me. I hadn't seen you in here much lately. Hope earthquake wasn't to bad for you. I was in a few when I lived in Calif. 💜💜🙏🙏

I would call your insurance company and tell them you'd like a new PCP. No sense in staying with a doctor that's retiring (and sick & dying). You're not getting the quality of care you need from him.
