Diddlee's Journal, 25 April 2019

Saw a tyre on the truck was flat. Pumped it up and drove to the garage for repair.

While there, another customer kindly offered me a cigarette. I accepted and enjoyed it.

This made me think of cigars, and my absence of ways to celebrate reaching goals. So I order a five pack of cigars just now. Hope to have the first one on May 3rd.

Smoking kills (said by a 20+ year smoker) lol. I’m all seriousness though, try not to make it a habit as it’s hard to break! We all need to find little ways to celebrate though. Hope the vehicle is all fixed up!

peeperjj Cleaver guy at the garage, easy fix for him. Have a friend overseas that have one single cigar at Christmas every year. Otherwise he does not use tobacco at all. Find I can have one rarely without a need for more. Was thinking about going out for an ice cream, but scrapped that. Thought of beer, tequila... and stopped myself there too. Why food I asked myself.. cigar sounded somehow better. Peace Pipe kind of thing. Basically, haven't got many good celebration ideas yet. Clothes, not till six pack. Do you have some good ideas?

peeperjj Just got an idea. Go out to get a two hour Massage. Feel silly now, not thinking about this before.

I like cigars however my last one was probably 9 years ago. As a matter of fact, I have a Cuban sitting in my office desk drawer that is probably dried up considering it has been there for 4 years now. Enjoy!!

Well personally I reward myself with food. I love food. Food also means family time to me. I just have to be smart about it. I’ve rewarded myself with things like a solitary walk to clear my head, playing with my horses(not really riding because I never leave our little pasture), a good book, a massage (turned into an every 8 week thing now lol) and well... you have a girlfriend right?? 😉😉 Enoigh said there but it’s a good reward haha. A friend takes herself to a movie but I can’t resist the popcorn and at least own candy snack. It’s better for me to have a snickers. Saves me time, money and calories. I’ll try and think of more ideas and remember other things I’ve rewarded myself with. How about something for your bike? A new water bottle holder? A better seat?

The massage was a good idea. Have you ever had a pedicure? I see guys at the salon all the time.

The full body massage idea kicked the cigar idea right in the bin. Totally excited about going to a pampering shop when goals are reached. Body feel-good-love, instead of mouth focuced pleasures. Been ages since I've had pedicure. Ideas of rewards suddenly go from stuck, to flowing.

It's been years since I had a good cigar (never smoked cigarettes). For me, it's going to a bookstore and finding a good book...or going exploring in my Jeep. And Chesgreen, yeah I'm thinking your Cuban is hard as pencil now ! lol.
