Eating very high amounts of carbs can cause high triglyceride.

Not if calories are controlled. You could say the same with a high-fat diet...

So, what is a high percentage of carbs which will cause high Triglyceride levels? What percent of total carbs? Anyone? Is the person ( in your response) at calorie maintenance or deficit or surplus? This will be so fun! Come on...try to answer this!

ConiMN —I have had this pic in my photo gallery for just about a year. I had time to kill at an appt. yesterday and came across it as I was deleting some old pics. I didn’t note which journal it was, I just kept the picture. I read a Lot so I can’t really remember. Kept the pic because it was so remarkable.

I have PCOS which comes with having high triglycerides, high cholesterol, and insulin resistance. On top of that I have hypothyroidism. I've been trying to lose the weight for 4 years. No excuses as to why I haven't, other than that it just takes a lot of will-power and self-discipline, that I struggle to find. But seeing this is definitely an eye opener. I like to know how things work and I've always wondered what happens when I get my blood drawn and tested. Having a visual puts it all into perspective.
I'm just taking things day by day now. Making small attainable goals and changes is the only thing that seems to put my mind and body on the right track to losing weight. I started with giving up soda. After that, no fast food. Now i'm onto adding one healthy meal into my diet a week. Baby steps to a healthy life--for all you 'What About Bob' fans out there ;)
Thanks for the post Kenna. I really appreciate it.

If that doesn't work to get people on track, nothing will.
