Day 1 of a planned 2 day OMAD 'One Meal A Day'
Blood sugar 90 mg/dL
👶🏾 I was so good yesterday, no 300 calorie morning 'protein coffee' just a 5 hour energy drink, a 3 mile run, and Green Tea all day. I got home and jumped on the scale and was down 2 pounds! I was not hungry (when fasting I am never hungry unless I eat), but we had 🍕Pizza planned...
👎🏾 Did I keep my net carbs below 10? No
👎🏾 Did I keep my protein below 90g? No
👎🏾 Is my morning blood sugar in the 70s? No
The Quest low carb Pizza was not bad. However, it has a LOT of fiber in it and it makes you very full. It is a small pizza but rather than each having our own we could have split a single one.
But, it still caused a 'carb binge' in me and I ended up drinking a protein shake and finished off the night with Frosted Cheerios! Hello 90 mg/dL 'fasted' morning blood glucose reading!
So, yeah I am thankful for the one pound loss, but I know I basically sabotaged what really was a 3 pound drop...
Anyway, I know I 'complain' a lot (this is my 'Journal' that is what it is for), but I wanted to post a photo from yesterday to show that my WOE (Way Of Eating) is really working and I am actually very happy :)
