Yesterday was a rough day, so I indulged in a glass of wine last night. Problem was, I chose to indulge in a second glass which led to me not caring about what I put in my mouth for food. Hubby went and got pizza since I hate cooking on Fridays. Instead of sticking to one slice and making myself a salad, I had two slices and four hot wings. That second slice had me feeling like crap by bedtime. I was afraid to step on the scale since overloading on carbs tends to make me retain more water. Somehow the scale was down several ounces this morning. Maybe two days worth of brussel sprouts causing my bowels to finally move counteracted the water. Who knows. I'm just tired of having to think so much about food. I want to be in maintenance mode. Not sure if doing IF is going to be for me. Still haven't decided. Just so much mental effort and I just want to eat healthy foods and live my life. I have enough stuff that I have to think about with a difficult teenager to deal with, along with life in general. Time to help my mental state and get a workout in today before fixing a meal, likely brunch or lunch at this point. Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Ches, yes, definitely need some throttle therapy! Had major thunderstorms come up here today, so we couldn't get out in it. Severe lightning and even some hail. Glad you were able to enjoy a ride!

You didn’t eat half of the pizza. You stopped at two. And you paid for it in how you felt unfortunately lol. I hear ya about being tired of always thinking about food, weight, etc. Somedays I just eat what/how much I want. I keep it reasonable and on plan type food usually...but I don’t worry so much about every little bite, ounce..etc. yes we must be diligent to some extent but allow yourself a little leeway now and then as this is a lifelong journey...not just a quick race to a comfortable weight then we can eat whatever we want...right? We will always have to be mindful to some extent, but we can also enjoy ourselves along the way. ❤️

Alcohol is not your friend. As you said, after the first glass a second seems to make a lot of sense and then you have lost this particular battle. You know, we all know, that it allows you to do things that you might normally have better control of. Think how often you have probably had this discussion with your son. Alcohol is especially not your friend when you are angry, frustrated , depressed. Skip the booze and spend the carbs on something more meaningful and less dangerous for you.
