If your broccoli always turns out too crunchy or else soggy and bland, here's perfect way to steam broccoli.
Ingredients
Directions
- Cut fresh broccoli or purchase prepackaged florets. Place in your steamer basket and set aside.
- Bring about an inch of water to boil in your pan (not enough to actually touch the broccoli).
- When the water begins to boil, immediately insert the steamer basket and place a lid over it. Allow to steam for exactly 7 minutes and remove immediately.
- Serve while hot!
- Note: the real secret to perfectly steamed broccoli is to not insert the steamer basket until the water is already at a hard boil, and to time it for exactly 7 minutes.
