new start. Since my heart attack in March I have been so busy with rehab and doctors. I saw an endocrinologist for the first time and she changed my diabetes control medicines, she thinks the amount of insulin I was taking was stopping me from losing weight. She also wanted me to start counting carbs instead of calories for better control. So day one of a new start.

I have been so busy that I have gone to bed exhausted every night. I have seen my primary care doctor, my cardiologist, plus going to cardiac rehab 3 days a week and trying to get my exercise done the other two, visiting my mom and my mother- in- law and fighting a cold for the last two weeks. A few bright spots... I bought smaller pants and shirts, the police have arrested a person of interest in my brother in laws murder, my cardiologist cleared me for driving and lifting and I am on the tail end of my cold so I feel like eating again. I will start to lose again now that I am moving around more.

For those who have been following my journal entries you know I have been worried about my Dog Dutchess. Yesterday she started bleeding from her incision and last night they did an emergency spleen removal... During the night she passed away. I am so heartbroken. So much has happened in my life in the last few weeks that I don't know if I am going forward or backwards. My walk buddy is now gone but I will take walks in her memory.

cardiac rehab orientation today, class starts Monday. came home and dutchess,
my dog who is recovering from surgery and I walked the width of our house and the neighbors, turned around and came back in not to bad for my first walk in the cold since the heart attack. both of us making progress. Dutches ate a little, first time since Wednesday the 25th. We are both doing recovery together and we are both going to lose weight. Can't wait until I am back to walking more, but was reminded today my heart needs time to recover. Have a Blessed day and thank you all for your support.

Woke up to the dog vomiting a little bit of blood so she goes back to the vet for a recheck today.
He decided to keep my furbaby until Monday. will feel lost without her but know it is best for her.
Hoping to reach my calorie level today. I stopped losing on 12-14 and gained water weight as well
as a few pounds because I was in pain everytime I exercised. On March 11th I had a heart attack,
and now am walking some. Start rehab next week to get my stamina back, but seem to be losing inches
more then weight. lost another 1/4 inch in my waist. Clothes show more of a loss then the scale shows.
Will not let this set back discourage me. Joined a local support group for weight loss also. We help each other.
