I live the low-carb life. I noticed upon doing 2 weeks of Induction on Atkins, that my stomach wasn't nearly as bloated as it was even when eating "complex carbs". Good carbs or bad carbs, my body still rejected them. I eat very high fat and am an avid follower of what Weston A Price and Gary Taubes preach!

HCG Diet?
I am on the hCG diet. I am 22 days out of the "500 calories a day" phase and have been eating about a well balanced diet since losing 20 pounds and I have kept it off.

I exercise and watch what I eat and I have only gone up 2 pounds and then down 2 pounds... which I chalk up to being normal.

I started the diet weighing 168 lbs being 5'7" and medium frame.. I did the injections for 30-some days. I am now 148.6 and I have been staying there..*shrug* I have lost a lot of belly fat.. bum fat.. and fit into my clothes completely different.

The husband was a huge skeptic (being an Electrical Engineer Stanford graduate) but tried it with me... he is now down 17 pounds and is maintaining (even losing a little more even after the injections).

I recommend it.. I understand those who say it sounds crazy because it sure as hell did when I heard about it on the news. I thought "Oh my god.. 500 calories a day???? Of course you will lose weight!!!".. But, the thing with me is I wasn't hungry and the hCG was the cause of that... And I am extremely focused on eating nutrient dense foods which the diet helped me understand more. You can't do this diet and go back to eating crap food. I prepare EVERY meal now... I understand that might not be realistic for some.. but damnit, my health is worth the effort and time.

I had some steel cut oatmeal for breakfasty! Very Happy
