Start Weight
167.2 lb
Lost so far: 2.8 lb

Current Weight
164.4 lb
Performance: losing 1.1 lb a week

Goal Weight
134.0 lb
Still to go: 30.4 lb
moved cross country, gained 10 lbs, 5 in the last week. No, it isn't water weight, I have a scale which also shows water % of your body and it's actually down. Actually haven't exceeded 2000 cal/day during the 5 lb weight gain. Exercise 30 min per week on an elliptical, am no longer in good enough shape to use my nordic track. Family member in for serious surgery in the past week, as a result did child care for a couple days. Also have multiple herniated discs in my neck, and arthritic degeneration in lower spine. Food-wise, I follow a pescatarian diet (fish, but no meat or poultry), and can't eat hard food, like apples, celery, carrots, bagel chips, etc until I get the dental implants. I have to lose 33 lbs to get back to my normal, happy healthy self.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
try to do so every day, figuring that if the scale goes up it will alarm me enough to be careful, but a gain in one day isn't enough to make me feel discouraged, as if I weighed myself once a week and wound up with a multi-pound gain.

Constipation issues
I have to take opiods & muscle relaxers due to multiple herniated discs in my neck. As you can imagine, that combo is constipating. I get around this by adding 1 250 mg. magnesium supplement to my vitamin intake. No problems! It doesn't work with an explosion, like a laxative. No danger of going out somewhere, then having to make a mad dash for a restroom.

Great way of using zucchinis...

We have a large supply of zucchinis from our two (!) plants in the back garden. It's not a vege that hubby particularly likes to eat as he just don't like the texture. I know one option is to grate it and freeze, for then to use in soup. BUT, I've found another good use of them.

In any receipt where mince is required, I grate a big amount of zucchini and uses this as a filler. It works a treat!! The flavour is so mild it doesn't spoil anything, and you can easily get another portion of your meal.

Of course there are plenty of receipts with zucchini in it, but in this way, if someone is a bit fuzzy, you can hide this great vege and get to use up a whole lot. I think I'll even buy them in the winter and use them in this way just to reduce the calories, and get the benefit of "one of five a day"....

Have a great cooking day good people Surprised

I like zucchini and am always open to new ways to use it, but what's a "mince"? As in mince pie? Never liked mince pie
