Hello everyone!

48 year old male living in the wonderful Triad region of NC. I haven't always been overweight, but I have been overweight for WAY too long. I have had success in the past but always seem to fall off the band wagon. I must succeed in a lifestyle change to live healthier. Diabetes runs in my family and I finally let it catch me.

My first goal is to get my portions sizes and carbs under control as well as adding regular exercise. I am cooking more at home and hope to start cooking more 'lean' and 'healthy' meals. Look forward to chatting and supporting everyone!

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I do daily, but mainly due to watching for fluid buildup. I think weekly is better to track when you're main goal is losing the weight. Your body can fluctuate a pound or so depending on factors on a day to day basis.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I weigh daily, but only record losses in the tracker. I have gotten used to the fluctuation, but also do this to make sure I don't have any surprise excess weight gain. I am dealing with swelling in my right leg during the day. Sad

40 days... no pop...
I didn't give it up for Lent but gave them up before Christmas. Don't even miss or crave them now...

Good luck and don't go back after Lent!
