In December 2008, I weighed myself using the local supermarket scale. I was 287 lbs -- less 5 lbs. for clothes -- 282 lbs.!! I was a mess. I had no energy, my clothes didn't fit, and I was pretty depressed all the time.

What spurred me to action was the worsening of health problems brought on by 10+ years of a sedentary lifestyle. No more of this! When I was younger, I was always an athlete! I WILL return to that condition but better!

I joined 24hourfitness the last week of December 2008. It's the first gym I've ever joined. ;-)

Couch to 5K
I love running too but no more than 3 miles max. This morning I ran a mile in less than 10 minutes! It's a big deal for me since I haven't done that in a whole lotta years! Wink I started just under 27 minutes -- sheesh!
