I am 51 years old. I have 5 grandchildren. I work for myself in a co owned business. I have 4 grown children and have been married for 34 years. My goal is to lose 100 lbs and get my health back in order. I also want to get off my high blood pressure meds.
I used to be an extremely thin young person and even to the point of being called "stick" by my parents. The last 20 years have taken it's tole on my body as I have had several health issues. My feet have both been operated on and told I would not jog ever again. I have had both knees operated on and now have no cartilage in either. I had adverse reaction to medication and nearly bled to death last November and I have dealt with extreme fatigue since then. I have decided that I am not going down without a fight. I have always been athletic and competitive.
So I have decided to start swimming for this fall and winter, to regain some of my strength back in my legs and also starting a bowling league to get me up and busy. Food has always been an issue. I used to have an eating disorder and i would hide snacks and things so that my kids and husband would not get them. I have over come that problem and am ready to get on with real life...With God's help and lots of His love, I can do this!
