A few things about me . . . I'm computer ignorant, that's why there is no picture of me! And why I'm slow to understand how this website works. Any suggestions? I'll be 40 on Christmas Day (yeah, it sucks to have your b-day on Xmas) and I want a more firm, tight body! My awesome boyfriend, Mark, is a triathlete so he inspires me!

Is it better to work out in a empty stomach?
I used to get up and run on an empty stomach . . . didn't matter how far I was to run. I've since learned from a personal trainer that you do need some food to fuel your body (helps with energy and metabolism as others have mentioned). He suggested 1/2 banana and a small glass of soy milk about 30 minutes before my workout. It works great and I don't feel it sloshing around in my stomach or feel full. Try it . . .

Where R U From????
Hey! I'm originally from Knoxville, TN but now live in Charleston, SC. So I'm a Southern girl at heart! I'm not on Atkins, doing my own diet, but this is the forum that came up! Just trying to learn the website and make buddies. Smile

new to website
Hey! I'm new to the website and am learning how it all works. I have no buddies and am just kind of winging it at this point. My goal is to lose 10 lbs. by Xmas. I am diligent in my exercise and have fairly healthy eating habits. I just need to watch my portion control! I'm unsure of how the buddy thing works, but I'll give it a shot if anyone out there wants to "buddy up". Best of luck and thanks in advance for your support!Smile
