I grew up thin and loved to dance. I only gained weight once I was married for awhile and stopped being as active.
I have lost 30 pounds two different times... once before I got pregnant and once right after the birth of my son. Both times I eventually gained more back than I originally lost. This time I'm up 50 pounds and hit the dreaded 200.
I am SO tired of this.
I want to improve my habits and make some lasting life changes. Who is with me?!?
Peace~
Julie

New member. need some tips on not eating at night
These are all awesome ideas!!! I too will go to bed if I feel too snacky later at night. I need the sleep anyway. I'm taking a one-week 'close the kitchen after dinner' challenge this week and I'm doing 100% so far! (three days in).

What kind of scale do you use?
I am going shopping for a new scale. Does anyone love their scale? I'm looking for one that is reliable and that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Thanks for any suggestions of brands, models, and/or stores where I should look. I live on the west coast.
Thanks!

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I weigh every day now that I'm paying attention and trying to take care of myself... but my scale is awful and fluctuates. I know, I know, you're thinking that it's ME who may be fluctuating... LOL no, I can get on the scale three times in one minute and it will read three different weights, within a 3 pound or so range. I think the batteries may be wearing out! Time for a new scale.

Anyone looking for a diet buddy?
I'd love a buddy-- I need to lose about 50 lbs and get active! It's the active part that I REALLY need accountability and encouragement with. I would love someone to check in with from time to time. I'll be there for you if you can kick me in the buttocks every so often and tell me to go the the gym. I live only one block away so I really have no excuse. Smile
