I'm not doing too well on this weight loss thing. I was fine and then I don't know what happened but I really went backwards and took a break for 3 weeks.
I went jogging yesterday.
Hooray but I'm inconsistent..... I'll have to just try again.

The scale is not moving. Keeping my calories at 1100, and following the paleo diet very well. It's week has been a nightmare of business so I have not exercised but I still thought I should be seeing some downward movement. Okay, I'll get ready for the weekend and better luck next week.

My husbands uncle jack passed away yesterday. Rough day, ate take out Chinese beef and broccoli very late, like around 8 pm. I ordered it plain steamed with no sauce, and put one soy sauce on it myself so I guess it was ok. I ended up eating the whole thing which i really didnt need, and soy sauce is not paleo but whatever. I'm not going to worry about it.
Today I ate something dumb. I had kosher sausage plain, no bread, just a salad. I thought that since its a kosher gourmet sausage it must be plain and ok. I didn't have time to read the label. I now feel very ill. My hands are tingling and my legs feel weird. I looked back at the label and it is full of nitrates and high in calories. I'm sorry I did that to myself. At least it's not high in carbs so I won't have to worry about my insulin glucose flying and derailing my diet with cravings. I couldn't exercise yesterday because I found out about the tragedy in the late morning and had to leave right away. But I'll exercise today, as soon as I feel better from what I ate. Wow, going paleo made me sensitive to food now. I can see the effects of bad food right away whereas it never bothered me before.
Rest in peace, jack, I'll miss you :(

I discovered a great "gourmet" Paleo trick.
When making meatballs, meatloaf, etc- anything with ground beef-
use flaxseed meal instead of bread crumbs (which are a total no-no)!
Flaxseed meal has the same binding ability as eggs, and it fluffs it up like the bread crumbs. But it's full of that healthy omega oil that we need, and it doesn't hurt like bread crumbs!
