I'm an accountant working for NYC. I can tell you all about me and my life but I guess the most important thing is what I'm doing here :-) So here it is in a nutshell:

I'm 43 years old and was very physically fit when I was young (sound familiar?)
Somehow after my mid 20's, things changed. My weight went skyward and my physical fitness went to the birds.

I joined a gym near work in March 2014, and have been able to change my habits steadily. I feel like I'm finally on a roll. I hired a personal trainer because that is something I never did before, and I'm banking on it making a difference. I'm making major life changes, like not eating at night and being physically active, as well as making much healthier food choices.

I joined Fat Secret because by tuning in and validating my weight challenge on a regular basis, I think l stand a better chance of reaching my goal. I'm looking for a couple of like-minded buddies :-)

Move over Facebook, here is FS!
I just made an observation. Routinely, I get up in the morning, make my coffee, check my email and go to facebook before starting my day. I'll visit facebook several times during my day, whenever I have a minute. I do it on my phone or wherever I can. There's been a shift... Now I am going straight onto the FS website first thing in the morning, and spending much less time on facebook and more time here.

I go to this site several times a day, and facebook isn't as interesting to me as this is! There's only a certain amount of time each day that can be allotted to social media sites, and this one is it for me! I am still new to fs and just learning how to navigate. But I am enjoying it, and expecting to take full advantage of what it has to offer.

I think that this alone will have a major impact on my weight loss. Recording everything I eat, being part of a challenge, communicating with others, giving and receiving encouragement and inspiration..... II believe that it is going to play a key role in my getting where I want to go, and I am just tickled pink!

I am starting over
I was in that boat many times, but I recently found out about Atkins. Have you ever tried it? I wish I had tried it sooner. I'm losing weight and I'm able to stay on the diet because I lost my appetite.

no carb or low carb flour
What is in the flours that atkins markets? I would like to make no carb pancakes that can be eaten in induction phase... without having to buy atkins' products. Does anyone know what the secret is?

I stopped recording my diet calendar because I am eating the same thing every day Smile Atkins is working for me but I really want a little change... Thank you!
