I'm a 25 year old Mom and career girl, who sings in a band, and who also models on the side. I'm trying to,(believe it or not) get a more hourglass shape for print work. I love to sing, I love to dance, and of course, I love food. I have a hard time controlling my portions, and being Italian, I live for pasta and bread and it makes up more than 90 percent of my diet. I'm hoping by lowering my carb intake and working my way back up slowly I'll lose a bit. I'm also hoping it'll teach me to eat more lean meats, veggies, whole grains, and better choices all around. I'd love some friends, feel free to contact me!

Sex
I'm with you pixie. I had never considered making love to my partner as exercise, and now since I'm trying to be so dilligent about every calorie carb and gram of fat going into my body, I can be more dilligent about logging what is burned off as well. I found the original topic to be interesting, and I'm glad there were so many people who could be helpful

Sugar
Usually the green ones don't have as much sugar, like say celery, broccoli, or zucchini, and mayo like hellmans which really is only eggs and vinegar has just a negligable amount of carbs, but you have to look at the end game. Consuming 8 or 9 carbs in a salad is way better than 18 in a potato, or however it actually comes out to, I was making those numbers up for argument sake. There is a way to add the NET carbs to your count, THOSE are the ones that actually affect your blood sugar, and so, affect your weight. Generally greens have a good deal of fiber in them, so even though celery has carbs, the amount of fiber it contains cancels that out for a net carb count of zero. Focus on that, if you can keep that down, you're doin' fine!
