I have been married to the same incredible guy for nearly 20 years and we have 3 teenage sons who are awesome. I have a career that I love but that can be very stressful. Like so many working moms between taking care of my family and my career, my health and emotional well-being take a back seat and I don't make them a priority. I turn 44 in May and at 40 I set a goal to lose 100 lbs, and I lost and gained the same 10 lbs since that time. Now my 40s are flying by even faster than my 30s did. Carrying the extra weight is taking its toll on my health and, even more important, on my quality of life. I have always been an active person who never let my weight keep my sidelined, but my knees, back and hips become sore when I exercise even the lowest impact. Activities that I once loved are becoming too difficult or impossible for me. It's truly time to make a lasting lifestyle change!
