Water Consumption
I drink enough to stay hydrated and prevent dehydration. None of the medical or health experts out there can actually explain where the requirement of drinking "8 glasses of water a day" comes from. The health books my mom has from the 60's & 70's recommend us to consume 8 glasses of fluids a day - none of them specify "water". Besides, our vegetables & fruits also count toward the fluid content of our bodies.

Every day, I weigh
I weigh myself regularly and sometimes just before I go to bed but I don't take the number on the scale seriously. It's mostly to see if & how my variety of workouts affect my body. The scale will go up and down depending on water retention; sodium intake, etc. I simply use it as a means of keeping my weight in check without fretting over it.

Why you gain when you increase exercise
Not something I didn't know but it's nice to see someone give an answer to a common question without using scientific gibberish in her talk that nobody can interpret.

Exercise dvd's that won't disturb my downstairs neighbor
There are a lot of fitness DVD's out there that don't require jumping, etc. but give you a great overall workout some of which I have such as Biggest Loser "Weightloss Yoga", "Walk Away the Pounds" with Leslie Sansone [she has various DVD's featuring 3 - 5 mile walks as well as pilates DVD's]. I recently bought "Dance Your Body Thin!" Kit from the 10-Minute Solution DVD series [this DVD comes with a 2-lb waist belt] and it's a whopper for the body. I did 3 of the sessions for 30 minutes on the first day and I felt it from my neck down to my feet. Check them out.

Weight has gone up since late June although I had increased my running. Not sure if it's because of muscle gain or too much food intake.
