I pre-plan my meals and morning and afternoon snacks [yogurt or veggie sticks with hummus / or fresh fruit]. I sit at a desk too all day long but I go to the gym before work. Depending on how hard I work out, I may end up eating all my day's snacks before lunch but that's okay since I figure my body needs it. If you crave something sweet, have a fruit. Processed sweet candies aren't going to cut it or help you. I'm sure this isn't what you wanted to hear - lol

Back to the Gym
I just put a post on your other one about feeling drained. Is your nutrition sound enough to carry the type of fitness regime you put yourself through and I'm not referring to stuff you add to water. I mean real food like meat, vegetables that aren't juiced up, and fruits. Do you have access to a nutritionist that you could sit down with to formulate a good hearty plan? I recommend it - at least you'd know what you need to sustain your body as you build it up. Websites are okay but they don't know your body. Just don't become addicted to doing all that heavy lifting - your body will eventually suffer a burn out; happens to all of us when we overdo it, regardless of the level of fitness.

Feeling Drained
I collapsed simply reading the amount of weight you use in your workout Shock

Your workout is beyond the scope of my experience but it seems to me that body is simply telling you that it needs a little break from doing that much all the time. Maybe switch things around by increasing your cardio time with less strength for 1 week or 2 just to give your body a chance to recuperate; maybe go 1 day without doing weights at all.

Self control
I control myself by not closing the door to any type of food, junk food included. The minute you tell yourself you can't have this or you can't have that, you put yourself in a prison of food and that's all your mind will seek to have. Once I told myself I could have whatever I wanted, I had the freedom to make wiser choices because nothing was off limits.

I'm not one to eat fast foods but this morning after my workout at the gym, I had an Egg McMuffin even though I'd had breakfast at home before going. I realized that my breakfast had not been substantial enough to sustain me beyond my workout - and I don't feel guilty about eating it either.

Is Obesity a Disease? NPR
I know a woman who purposely gained weight to put herself in the obese category in the hopes that she could go on disability rather than work; she was rejected and has been plagued by a variety of health issues for the last 15 years.

Despite being healthier, fitter, and slimmer than I have ever been before at this point in my life [I'm 50] and keeping myself active and monitoring my food intake, the charts out there still have me in the obese category simply because of how the BMI chart configures it. The number on a scale does not define one's overall fitness nor does it take bone composition or lean muscle mass into consideration which is why I don't pay attention to it.
