I am an artist living in Seattle. I have an emotional relationship food that has caused major weight gain. It's not what I eat, it's why. In my search for more healthy preoccupations, I am resolved to the scientific approach. Counting calories instead of obsessing and defining evil food groups to conquer. This does not mean I will be eating my daily caloric requirement in the form of donuts or gummi bears. No diet, just mindful eating and caloric restriction. The foods I will keep down or out are only the foods that I know don't agree with me physically from experience. Most grains like wheat leave me feeling bloated and prone to go to the little artists room 10 times a day, and I won't eat broccoli or sweet potatoes, I hate them both.
