So I guess here's what I've learned from my mistakes: don't gorge yourself on holidays. Thanksgiving isn't about food. It's about gathering with loved ones and being thankful for what you have. That day I ate so much it made me almost literally sick, and I can't really say I enjoyed it. It also set me back, after a week of equilibration, about two solid pounds. It took me a whole month to lose those two pounds, exercising and dieting around my crazy stressful schedule, and it kind of sent me into a funk for that entire week. I felt fat again. But the futility was somehow worse. I considered giving up right then and there, but then I remembered how I've done that so many times before...
Back on track. It wasn't all in vain. I've learned.
