I'm a 49 year old native California gal tired of carrying 150 lbs of extra junk in the trunk. My highest weight number on the scale was 299. I have not seen the magic 300 on that scale. It's time to do something about it because I wanna see the grand-daughters grow up. Can't live to a rip old age being a fat gal. How many obese old ladies do you see in old folks homes!

I'm unemployed by choice and am currently looking for work. I reside with my retired hubby who offers little support in my quest. He's a sweet guy and thinks to show his love by bringing home my favorite burrito from a local home style fast food joint is the way to my heart. I'm going to have to pass up that yummie morsel.

I remember years ago an infomercial that promised the best, fastest method yadda yadda yadda exercise for getting in shape and weight loss. The promotion was for an exercise book. I watched the entire show and the big secret was, after all the build up was: ANY EXERCISE YOU'LL DO! It was that simple. I sure felt cheated at that time but have come to realize, it really is that simple. For me, it's walking, it can be done anywhere and is free. I carry a bat with me though as I'm in a rough neighborhood and can't run fast yet.
