I gained "a lot" of weight after a running injury. My physical therapist informed me I am only allowed to do low impact activities (like swimming and walking). I'm just trying to change my lifestyle to fit what my body can handle.

Also, I'm a big believer in holistic health so I'm trying to clean up my eating habits, spiritual life, and mind while I'm at it.

My current eating habits are kinda a Zone/Paleo hybrid.

Educate me in grain?
Ok lovelies! I need to know about healthy grains! Personally I eat a lot of barley but that's only because I grew up in a 40-30-30 household and that was what the books typically used in their recipes. I don't really know what's so good about barley versus other grains or if there are better alternatives. I feel like I am having to read between the lines whenever I read an article on healthy grains. They either focus on fad foods or will repeat themselves.

Can you all either direct me to a good article on healthy grains or educate me in good grains?
