I was an athlete when I was younger, and therefore never really "worked out" in a gym setting. I relied on practices and games for my exercise, and since I am clearly no longer an athlete, it has been very hard for me to stay at a healthy weight. I've never been a completely terrible eater, but could definitely stand to bulk up my diet with more fruits and veggies. I also have Hypothyroid which means my metabolism is slower than the average person, therefore making it that much harder for me to lose weight. I've done Weight Watchers in the past, and it definitely worked for me, but I find that that simply being aware of what I am eating, and making sure that I exercise 4-5 times a week is a more realistic diet and lifestyle change for me in the long run. FatSecret helps me keep that in the front of my mind, and visually see how all the aspects add up (fat, carbs, sodium, calories, etc.)
