I'm a 55 year old guy who lives in Tennessee. I'm 6'2" tall and weigh 180 lbs. My quest for weight loss actually started in July 2014. And...since the Summer of 2015, within a pound +/-, I've hit my weight loss goal, so now it's been a matter of maintenance. My current profile pic is from a race in June 2016.
I'm now running at least one road race a month. I cross-train a couple of times a week to strengthen core. Yeah, it's all part of running. I've gotten kinda addicted to it.
