I'm a really laid back gal who lives in Mount Prospect, IL and has never had a problem with my weight before. I just recently adjusted my meds and BOOM!...I gain 30 pounds!
So, here I am. Trying to lose that extra weight so I can fit back into my clothes.

Am I working out too much?
I fell off the wagon as a runner last September and have recently started again. At first I was just running two miles everyday. After two weeks I increased it to three miles every day. My husband mentioned that I shouldn't run every day and should cross-train so I've started roller-blading every other day for 40 minutes. My goal is to advance one mile per week.
Yesterday after roller-blading I got this persistent pain at the bottom of my calf and my husband thinks I'm working out too much. I'm not sure... Thanks in advance for your comments! Smile

A New Runner needs Help with her Shin splint!!!
It might help if you ran every other day and cross trained in between, like cycling or blading. That will give your body time to repair itself.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
Daily for me. It's motivating to see those numbers pop up on the scale in the morning. Makes me remember what my goal is for the day.

gaining weight....yuck!
I switched meds and now I'm gaining weight. It really stinks. Gotta be more disciplined on what I eat and how much I exercise. Mad
