Posted a New Year's photo so I can have a "before." It's a bit deceiving because I'm all in black. I have another full-length photo so if I can figure out how to post another photo, I will post that as well.
This week has been ok so far. I've been keeping a fairly low calorie diet, but yesterday I got soooo hungry I just had to give in and have some sunflower seeds and champagne, lol. My husband played golf yesterday and came home early--it just threw me off my whole routine. I did manage to cook a healthy dinner of beef stroganoff with whole wheat noodles and peas. Today I plan to stick to 1300-1400 calories. I have a little over two weeks before shorts, and possibly a bathing suit? I tried on some summer clothes yesterday and they fit pretty well, but would sure like 5 or more pounds off so I can be more comfortable. Will try to work out more today. I've been fairly busy this week with plans for vacation, but haven't much to do today.

Well, I haven't been logging my intake of food or exercise, but I have been consciously trying to keep a healthy diet and to exercise. The holidays are hard for everyone. My goal is to get back on track this week, although I will not be overly strict this week. But do plan on resuming a low calorie diet after the first. I do have a fun New Year's party to attend, but that's only one night of drinking and eating. I would like to take off 8 pounds by the end of January, which is a reasonable goal imho.

I'd needed a break from constant journaling. I will not be starting it again until after Thanksgiving. I am trying to keep track mentally of what I'm eating, but I am not trying to be super good. I am exercising almost every day for at least an hour. My weight training is a bit off though.

Feeding America--It just occurred to me that most of us are here because we eat too much. I just made a contribution to Feeding America, and I thought, what about all the people in our country that don't have enough to eat? I hope that all of you take a few moments to contemplate our blessings which is having the choice to
not
eat, and maybe to help those who don't have the option.
