I'm back after 10 days of being unable to log my food since away from the internet. I went totally off my plan and the scale shows it. I'm ready to get back on track, but may eat a few more calories a day since I'm not quite on such a deadline. Will write more when I have time. Have to help my son with his car. Not a good day to start logging again. Already I am unable to count calories well. Am having lunch with my son. Will give it my best shot, but it's so difficult not knowing how many calories in the food. I am guessing that I have not counted enough for lunch. I ended up having a very light salad made from cucumbers, seaweed, ahi poki and avocado. I ate about 4 pieces of sushi, and 2 bites of BBQ tuna with a bit of sauce. My dinner is a meat sauce I made in May and froze so again, not sure how many calories. I am guessing. I think perhaps this week I will not worry about limiting the amount of calories but just trying to log as well as possible and really get serious next week. What I learned in the past week is that it's very easy to just give in to temptation. My biggest sin was drinking alcohol. It's so many wasted calories and lowers your inhibition so that you always eat more or things that you shouldn't.

Sunday, the day after the wedding. Well, the expected storm has arrived. Thankfully it waited until after the young couple was married under a magnificent old oak tree. I'm sure they got lots of nice photos. Unfortunately there was no beautiful sunset. We all had a great time, and I enjoyed my glasses of wine and the food a lot. They had great appetizers. Popcorn! Perfect for me. The main course was fairly healthy too. Grilled chicken breast, ranch beans, and a healthy vegetable dish. We left before the served the cake. I had my husband take a photo of me in my new dress, and I've posted it in my profile. I will be away from the internet again for a week or so, so today I will try to plan ahead and print out my meals so I can stay as much on track as possible. I said that I would relax this week, but now I'm not so sure. I feel like I way overdid last night and it doesn't feel all that great! In fact I got on the scale to see the damage and I gained 1.4 lbs. So now, lets get back on track!

I am weighing in two days early because today was my short-term goal day. I wanted to lose 15 pounds before this wedding today. I almost made it. That would have put me at 155. I weigh 156.4. I like my new dress and I feel pretty good about how I look. I will be going out of town on Monday for more than a week. I will not have internet access. My plan is to pre-plan all dinners. Breakfasts and lunches are fairly standard. I will try to log it all before I go away, and then do a print out and make minor changes by hand. That's what I did last time. I plan on being a bit relaxed next week though. Let my body have a few more calories and adjust so that it's not in starve mode. Then get lower again when I get back home.

Finally done with the weeks appointments. Thank goodness. Breaking my routine a bit by actually having a single malt scotch and a bowl of popcorn while watching the giants game. It's threatening to rain here for the first time this fall as well. Nothing better than rain, popcorn and a nice single malt. I will savor my allowed 2 ounces. Now if the Giants can pitch!

Yay! Went shopping today for the wedding. Found a dress I actually like. Even splurged and bought a new necklace and purse to go with it. Fortunately I don't need to buy new shoes. I'll see if I can get hubby to take a photo when I'm all dressed up. So glad I am done shopping! Now I can relax and just enjoy the wedding. I will not be watching my calories on Saturday either! I do have to say I'm sooooo happy I started a weight loss program almost 6 weeks before the wedding. Although I've lost only about 12 pounds, it's enough to make me feel sooo much better about myself. Now I need to focus on another short term goal! Nothing really coming up until the end of January.
