It's beginning too dawn on me just how easy this could be!
I have a goal.
My short term goal is to lose as much weight, in the healthiest most sustainable way possible, in time for the 2010 May NKOTB cruise.
My long term goal is too finally love myself enough and trust myself enough to not need to fill the hole with food... the hole being fear, quiet, saddness, distrust...
I love this site because of the calories burned and calories eaten comparison. And the more I look at it, the more I realize that it is NOT that difficult for me to achieve a 1000 calorie defecit per day. Yes I realize that the amount of calries I burn will decrease along with the weight I lose, but one of the reasons I am looking forward to loseing the weight is so that I can continue my love of physical acitivity without compirmising my knees,my back and my general health. So as I slim down, I will also be gaining muscle and uping my cardio considerable... hopefully minimizing the effects of less calories being burned at rest alone.
The bottom line is that if I mantain that 1000caloric defecit, I will weigh LESS in May (and on the ship with Donnie) than I did for more of grade school.
That just boggles my mind, and for the first time ever, it excites me and doesn't trigger fear.
So exciting.
So very very exciting!
