I'm a faculty member at a university and I am fighting the weight battle. I lost 40 lbs on this site a couple of years ago, but then life and a PhD happened. I finally committed to buckling down and I'm hoping it pays off. My mantra:

In 4 weeks I'll see a difference.
In 8 weeks he'll see a difference.
In 12 weeks they'll all see a difference.
DO NOT GIVE UP.

Portion Control Idea
I want a set of dishes my family can use every day for cereal/pasta/take out/ etc that has clearly marked labels for 1/2 cup, 1 cup, 2 cup, etc. so that we can make portion control a natural part of our life without having to take extra steps/dirty extra utensils, or guesstimate what a cup is. I couldn't find anything in a price range I found reasonable, (I really wanted a 'set' because having one or two bowls like this means they'd almost always be dirty in my sink because I never do dishes) so I submitted the idea for cost effective ones to quirky.

If enough people vote for them, they might make them, so if this seems like a useful product, would you mind voting? =D

Celebrate?
Hey guys,

I'm getting close to my goal weight, and I am starting to think about ways to celebrate the weekend I get there with my friends. I don't want to do anything food related, though. Does anyone have ideas?

For the Ladies: Sports Bras?
Target has surprisingly good sportsbras. Look for ones with a seam going across the cup.
