Lost so far: 20.0 lb

Current Weight
147.8 lb
Performance: gaining 0.5 lb a week

Goal Weight
130.0 lb
Still to go: 17.8 lb
I'm a 32yo female. I started out two years ago with almost 40 lbs to lose. Lost about half of it, then gained half of that back. Started back in January with 30lbs to go. I'm working hard this time and hope to lose another 17.4lbs by June 22nd. Even if I don't hit my final goal by my deadline I already look so much better than I did when I started three months ago. I'm not giving up this time!

Depression and weight loss
Things have been really bad lately emotionally. I don't suffer from depression continually but more situational. This is the first time in several years I've had to deal with it. One of the main issues I've had is I've lost my motivation to work out. I did really good the first half of the year leading up to my sister's wedding but I haven't been able to get back on track since then. I have worked out very sporadically since then. On top of that on days when the depression gets really bad I find it very easy to validate bad food. Tonight it was pizza and cookies. Once in a while I'm ok with it but lately I'm having more bad days than good and therefore validating more bad food. I'm going to be starting anti depressants tomorrow. Hopefully that will start to turn things around. I'm going on Wellbutrin, which I've taken in the past with good results. I did some reading on it this time and I'm really hoping for the weight loss side effect. More than that though I'm hoping to stop wanting to cry all the time. I miss liking my life and being motivated to lose the last of this weight. I'm so close and yet it seems miles away right now.

Hello! New user...question....

Multiply your weight X 7. This total will be your total calorie intake for the day to lose weight.

I think this is good for people who have a lot of weight to lose but not for people who are close to their final goal. I have 13lbs to go and based on this method I should only eat 1000 calories per day. Everything I have ever been taught tells me it is dangerous to go below 1200/day for extended periods of time. By the time I reached my goal I would be down to 910 calories per day.

Looking for new program
I'm looking for a new workout program. I've done Jillian Michael's body revolution twice now. I enjoy it but I have trouble doing her cardio because it involves so much jumping. Jumping and my ankles do not go together.

A friend gave me her copy of Tony Horton's Power 90. It doesn't seem to bother my ankles at all. Problem is I'm finding it kind of boring. I definitely do not see myself doing this for 90 days.

I fear something like P90X or Insanity is too much for me (an my ankles) but I want something a little more interesting than the Power 90. Does anyone have a program they love and would recommend? I know there are tons of exercises I could do on my own but I really need the structure of a video program to stick with it.

Protein Sources
Canadian bacon, greek yogurt, eggs and beef jerky have been huge in helping get my protein up.

Maximising your treats...
I totally do this. I currently am allowing myself one Reese's sugar free mini peanut butter cup a night. Somehow I manage to get three bites out of one of those minis!
