This program suggests I consume 3300 calories to lose 20 pounds? I realize that's a starting number and Im fairly large to begin with...just wondering if I did something wrong...

I would set an average of a few different sites and see how that goes, no weight loss, then lower it!

3,300 calories? That's a lot of calories especially if your not exercising like a maniac. I stayed between 1200 to 1400 calories to lose weight and eat 1200 calories to maintain with no exercise except walking and moving every 20 minutes. I lost 98lbs. Men can usually lose easily at 1600 calories.

The more you weigh the less calories you should eat, because you have a low maintenance level. For example when I was 170 lbs my maintenance level was 1300 calories and now that I'm 140 lbs and I exercise daily it's 2600 calories.
So, I suggest eating 1200-1400 calories daily and do some cardio. It will really help you lose wight and fat.

203 X 7 = 1421 total cals per day

1421 / 4 = 355 per meal

355 / 3 snacks a day = 118 per snack

I hope this helps, it's simple and it takes all the guess work out.

I think this is good for people who have a lot of weight to lose but not for people who are close to their final goal. I have 13lbs to go and based on this method I should only eat 1000 calories per day. Everything I have ever been taught tells me it is dangerous to go below 1200/day for extended periods of time. By the time I reached my goal I would be down to 910 calories per day.
