Hi I am primarily vegan by choice and also gluten free unfortunately by necessity. I'm a performing singer songwriter and the mother of two beautiful teenage girls who I adore. I just finished going through a 2 year divorce from their dad which was not my choice. It nearly killed me. But the rebound relationships are what really did me in. I'm not cut out for this dating thing.
I tend to stop eating under stress and was recently down to 106 which is too low for me. I was looking anorexic. I have a tendency towards that anyways but it is terrible and just ages me. Relationship issues were causing me so much emotional turmoil, I just wanted to throw in the towel.
One morning I just decided to start fighting back. I went out and bought bags of groceries, all kinds of fruits & veggies and healthy foods. Then I started running. I could only run a mile. Very slow. I just told myself I was going to run 3 miles no matter what. Now I'm trying to run 6. When I get tired I allow myself to walk in between miles. This helps convince me it's not so bad!
I have been sort of my own drill sergeant lately, but it's better than my original plan of throwing in the towel! I'm glad I found this site because I love it. It really helps me keep realistic about my diet and exercise.
