Happy*Snappy's Journal, 27 September 2017

Well, I woke up today and weighed myself and got 289.6. I couldn't stop staring at that number. Wow. If only that could be true today. It will be true eventually but I don't think today is that day. I've been using herbs as a diuretic and a little voice in the back of my head said.... Well, maybe.....hahaha.... you'll get there, don't worry. I got off the scale and had to tell myself that was not my correct weight today. I did reweigh and sure enough my weight was still 296. I was sad for awhile but there's no point in keeping that fantasy going for any length of time. My scale is a horrible tease!

He'll see though.....I WILL get there.

I had a battle with a tube of Pringles today too. They were inching closer to me when I wasnt looking. I patiently continued to chew my salad - bacon, tomato, cheese, thousand island dressing (Walden farms which is surprisingly good). I'd look back and all be darned if those Pringles weren't closer to me. I finally had to hand them to my daughter across the table from me. I had to think - why are they bothering me tonight. I have no idea but it was really starting to get to me. My blood sugars were a little high all day but nothing outrageous - thank goodness.

I have a wedding to go to this weekend..... kind of wondering how that is going to go. I have to get prepared for the cake and candies and being around a bunch of food I haven't cooked. I think I'll pack some beef sticks and sugar free candies as a treat. Those are definitely self limiting - don't want to spend the night in the bathroom! ☺.

So, how was the wedding? Wouldn't know.. but the bathrooms were great!

I definitely need to get enough sleep though. I have serious trouble resisting temptation when I'm tired. On that note, have a great day everyone..... it's time for bed!

Pringles are crap...yet I have been seduced many times. They were in the house for another person. Many times, I swear I heard them calling me.... They don't live here anymore!

Your scale was out of balance? I want to be so exact when I weigh that drew an outline of my feet on the scale so I will stand in the exact same place every time I weigh.

thank you everyone! iulani - I agree Pringles are crap! I realize I'm probably romanticizing how good they used to taste..... and eating a whole package sure doesn't help the waistline Graborn - you know I was thinking about that yesterday! When I get that "knowing" look from people when they figure out that I'm changing how I eat... the "yeah, yeah...we'll see" ..... Grrrrr... you bet we WILL see. I may slip or I may fall but I WILL get up and move forward. They can choose to be a positive support or be left behind! That is a choice they make. BTW - happy*snappy fits me for a reason 😝 diehard - nope - it's been a good scale but it was early (I'm not an early girl) and I have a tile in my bathroom that is not quite level which throws off the scale - I'll have to try the imprint idea! that takes a lot of the guess work out of it. I also should buy a decent food scale - I haven't been measuring anything so my food numbers are all estimates.
