Back to work - life is finally back to normal. As for the damage, it looks like I gained 3 "real pounds" over the Holidays (the other 3 water weight pounds are gone).

As for my New Year's resolutions, I now have gone over a week without putting any sweetener in my coffee. I almost caved over the weekend but somehow made it through.

My exercise room is now set up (and I'm not nearly as sore as I thought I would be). I am slowly educating myself about the value of core muscle exercises (old news to everybody else) - and am slowly building a workout routine. Was pleased to know that about half of these can be done standing, because at my age floor exercises are not as easy as they once were.

Break over - back to work! Hope everybody else is having a good day.
165.0 lb Lost so far: 21.0 lb.    Still to go: 33.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I love normal..its so much easier to keep things straight...I am like you about floor exercises...I have to have help if I get down...LOL.. Hold that tummy in and sit straight..that has been a hard one for me but I am doing it...just have to stay focused...Have a good day....:O)

The only good thing about floor exercises is that it gives me enough time to see the places I miss with the vacuum....LOL! Great job resisting the sweeteners!!!!

Ahhhhh the floor, so comfortable when you are down there...so difficult to get back up again...lol! Have you got any kettle bells? I bought 3 hot pink ones, 4 6 & 8kgs...funny to watch hubby use them. They are great to use for core strength, though I have only used the smaller ones, 8kg is quite heavy for me ATM. Have fun in your new room XXX

Buffy strengthening core muscles is what I found was so great about pilates, that's why I'm sticking to 2 days week doing them here in Az. Keep up the good work, proud of you !

Buffy, great job with the sweetener...I have found that heavy cream actually adds some sweet to the coffee. That is how I stopped the sweetener, although I still do indulge once in a while. Great job with the exercises...have fun!

Buffy, these 3 lbs will melt in no time now that you have your exercise room. Great job with the coffee. That is still one of the few things I don't want to give up. I don't use much anyway. Even the unsweetened almond milk is kind of sweet and I add 1 tbs of sugar free vanilla flavor to my pot of coffee (8 regular cups). Not much, just right for me.
