I am not going to start this up & down weight loss. I watch so close what I eat. Maybe it's just fluid. I don't know how to eat next. I will keep on trying. The slower I lose these last few lbs. the better off I will be. I never eat anything sweet. What do you all say ?

154.5 lb Lost so far: 13.5 lb.    Still to go: 9.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 3.5 lb a week

I think it's just a phase, if you just stick it out ... you will lose!!! It could just be water weight, I battle with that a lot, believe me. I retain so much water. Just try to stick it out b/c it will pay off in the end :)

I think it's water weight gain. How do you get rid of it? I wonder if it is safe to take the water weight pills. Our bodies probably need to store the water considering the meat intake.

they sell some cheap water pills at wal-mart but the atkins book says not to take them, so I really don't know ... I have taken them in the past and they didn't interfere w/ my weight loss so maybe they wouldn't hurt to take them every now and again... they were called diuretic or something ... in a blue box.

Water weight can make you go up and down a couple pounds. On average you might just have reached a plateu. It happens sometimes and it is your body's time to adjust to your new weight. Give it a couple more weeks, and keep doing what you are doing. You'll get out of your rut sooner or later.

Just keep drinking your water, if it's salt it will flush it out.
