Hello Hello!!

I'm Lori from TN. I'm married with 4 kids. 2 boys and 2 girls so we're pretty evened out!! I work part-time at the YMCA and the rest of the time, I'm doing my wife/mother duties.

I first started Atkin's in 2004, after giving birth to my son. I had put on about 80 pounds while pregnant, which wasn't all baby, lol. I lost a ton of weight and kept it off until about 06' when I noticed that I had gotten a little lazy on my efforts and the weight started to creep back on.

I love being outdoors with my family & I exercise at least 6 days a week. I'm here to get and give support!

The scoop on Splenda?
I've used stevia in the past... it's ok, a distinct flavor though and I've seen a commercial for something new... I'll let you know if I find it!!!

The scoop on Splenda?
Everyone is different. I've never had a problem with using splenda. The book says to count it as a carb though. I usually watch my labels but with certain things, I go ahead and count em' like the book says. I say play around with it and see if it effects you. Of course, I haven't used any sweetener this week and by yesterday I could tell a huge difference in my late evening cravings! Trial and Error is really all I can tell you at this point. Let me know what you decide!!!

JR has a good point.. which brings me to remind you to weigh first thing in the morning before you eat or drink anything... after you go to the bathroom... and shed those clothes, lol... they might add in some unwanted weight on the scale!! Laughing

People Who Know the Atkins Diet!
Hi!!

I looked at your food intake and left a reply to your journal entry. Try dropping the peanut butter and see if that works. Also, drink up... water will really help to flush out your system. Are you on induction? If so, you should leave out the peanut butter. Sometimes, I go back and re-read my book for a refresher course. If you don't have the book, click here to freshen up your memory!! Hope this helps! Let me know if I can help in any other way!!! Very Happy

Hiya Rach!

I can tell you that the longer you do this... the easier it'll get. It almost becomes second nature after a while and you won't even have to think about it.. It will just come natural!! Do you have the Atkin's book? If not, I suggest you check out the the atkins website. Atkins diet
