HealthyBabs's Journal, 27 March 2011

Another lb down this glorious morning, the Lord's Day!!...the new plan is working. So glad I took the bull by the horns and really took a look at the whole picture and figured out what I was doing that wasn't working so well.
Here is an excellent example of why it is so important to log everything you eat and all the exercise you do. If you don't what is the point of logging anything? You don't have a total picture to go back to if and when you need to. Come on...nobody's memory is THAT good!!

I made some yummy scones yesterday-almond flour, flax & blueberries only about 5C/3NCarbs apiece. Spent some time yesterday searching out some new recipes and reading up on alot of different weight loss plans.

DH and I are dog sitting for our next door neighbor's shephard. She is such a love but alot to handle since she is so strong. She took me for a walk already this morning so she could take care of her business.

I don't know if any of you watch Dancing With The Stars, but I LOVE that show! I was watching the encore presentation last night. I am so glad Kirstie Alley is on there this year. That gal has so publically battled her own weight issues for years and now here she is taking on this challenge of dancing infront of everyone to see. WOW... I so enjoyed watching her glide around the floor. She did fantastically. She will go far in the competition. I had to roar when I was watching her pre-dance clip. She and Max were practicing, he was goading her to move faster and she said...."If you want me to haul ass, I am going to have to make two trips!" I guarantee you when she is done with this competition, she will only need to make one!

So, hat's off to all of you today...Embrace your OWN challenges this week, make something fun out of them and hit the ground running!

Great job babs! I hope I can get mine on track! Did you try the German pancakes?

@radiochick - I didn't try them yet. I made blueberry scones yesterday, since I had blueberries I had to use up, they will last me all week. I will make the pancakes next weekend I think. I like to make a little low carb something on the weekend for breakfasts during the week, especially good to sop up the egg yokes with!

Wow, busy day getting all the food together. I applaud you for looking everything over and making changes. Some people would just say they couldn't do it, or no matter what they do they can't lose weight. You re-assessed, and made changes! Great job.

Well done Babs - I am also one that is very grateful for one pound at a time - your journal reminded me of a popular song, I have changed a few words to suit the occasion: I'm only human, I'm just a woman. Help me believe in what I could be And all that I am. Show me the stairway, I have to climb. Lord for my sake, teach me to take One POUND at a time. Chorus: One POUND at a time sweet Jesus That's all I'm asking from you. Just give me the strength To do everyday what I have to do. Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus And tomorrow may never be mine. Lord help me today, show me the way One POUND at a time. Do you remember, when you walked among men? Well Jesus you know if you're looking below It's worse now, than then. FEASTING and BINGING, E-NUMBERS and OBESITY So for my sake, teach me to take One POUND at a time.
