Little discouraged with the scale, gained 2 lbs since last weigh in. Have stepped up the exercise so hopefully it is muscle gain. Gonna get me a new food scale tonight, possibly my portions are a bit out of wack.
Off to my WOF conference today so I will ask the Lord to lift me up...that should help! Gotta run, doors open at 9am.

I'm gonna go with muscle gain and in a week or 2 you will see results on the scale

It can certainly be muscle gain. I go through the ups and downs a lot with my scale. I decided not to report the ups unless I think they are "real", such as I have been off my "diet", being eating too much or too much of the wrong thing. Seriously, my weight fluctuates a lot. I really don't know why. It is rather frustrating. But you are certainly doing all the right things, so I expect you will see results very soon. :) I really do think you are doing all the right things, and ultimately you will lose that weight!!! And I will pray for you at your WOF conference, and trust that the Lord will indeed lift you up.

I would say probably muscle gain. You are doing super. I hate it when the scale doesn't coperate with my plans! lol And have a great time at the WOF conference!! Say a prayer or two for me, would you? Thanks!

I also would probably say it is muscle gain which means a more tone body. Others can't see the numbers on the scale but they sure can see a smaller you. Hang in there you are doing great. Have a nice time at your conference.

Any time you change or increase exercise, you strain your muscles and they get little tears. Water replaces the tears to help them heal and it can show on the scale as a temporary gain. Woman do gain muscle but it takes a long time and a lot of hard work (as compared to men). You are doing great. Don't let small gains set you back. It's not just about the number on the scale but what your body composition too.

I'm with Suzi's theory on retaining some water due to muscle tears. Whatever the reason, you've been doing very well with exercise, so I would think the scale will be kind to you on the next weigh-in. Tough to wait in the meantime, but whaddayagonnado????

Thanks for all the encouragement everybody. I am going to try not to get too worked up about the scale thing. I do feel so much better and my clothes are much looser, but I have been sitting at this weight all month and then the two pound gain is not what I was looking forward to. WOF conference today was awesome, I said prayers for all of us! The Lord will give us all the strength we need! Off the rails with the food today so far. Holy crap, I ate a Dunkin' Donuts pumpkin muffin...600 calories!!!! Had some nachos...I never eat those....Sun chips...Never eat those either. Not much to choose from there, not a salad in sight and you couldn't bring in any of your own food! Oh well, back to the grind tomorrow!!

I never record my gains because I usually think they are water or muscle gains. I'd recommend only entering a gain if it's been at least a week, otherwise with exercise, elimination and energy - you'll usually break even or lose by the time 7 days are over.

Oh and I've always ended up going down by the one week mark.

lets hope that the increase is muscle gain which i am sure that it is, Do you measure your body to check the size loss and possible muscle gain. I also have a good fat / muscle body content gizmo that measures them and its amazing how much they can change on a week to week basis. Keep on going and many thanks for all your very useful help and advice from steve in a sunny turkey
