Ok, yesterday was terrible. My grandma is very i'll in Mexico. My husband and I are going to Mexico in 2 weeks. Ever since Tuesday night that I found out I have this freakn' anxiety that is driving me nuts. I want to eat bread, I want to eat cereal, I feel like I need carbs and sweets to feel better. I almost considered eating the whole box of melbas yesterday "since they are on plan" WTF? I'm like, realy? Is this mind game with food for real? I know it's all in my head because I am not humgry but my head is asking me for stuff. Is it just my anxiety or is this part of the firsts days of phase 2? I don't know because I've never done this protocol. The little devil on my left shoulder says -you should have started this diet after MExico so you can eat all those foods with family. Maybe you should stop now and not waist your HCG and start when you come back- and the angel on my right shoulder says -no, you've been doing good all day one, just finish today, once you go to bed you are safe and done with day 2, you'll weigh in the morning and be proud of yourself- I'm like AHHHH!!!! The little voices in my head are killing me. . .my doctor gave me a prescription for phentermine but I don't know if that will help since I'm not hungry, just anxious and craving.
By the way, I lost about 2.5 lbs so that means I've lost over 8 lbs in 2 days. . .
252.8 lb Lost so far: 9.2 lb.    Still to go: 112.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Well, anxiety causes stress. Stress causes our cortisol levels to rise in our bodies, which in turn increases our need for fatty, sugary cravings. Cortisol helps with our energy levels. When we get stressed, it goes up to help us deal with the anxiety. Try to up your protein. Maybe have a couple small treats with a small amount of calories. The diet your on is very restrictive with caloric intake and might not be good with worry about your family. Just try to do your best and get in exercise to help relieve some stress. Even a walk is a great thing. Good luck!

So sorry to hear about your gram. You can do this. This is why we are all here doing the same thing and inspiring each other to continue on their journey. To get rid of those little voice, try some up-beat music to really move to and start some exercises. To get yourself moving will be your best de-stresser.

I completely understand what you are feeling right now. Stress is what got me here and up to 203 in July. With everything going on around you, you still need to put yourself first when it comes to your health. You are no good to anyone else if YOU aren't healthy & happy. Keep going, you can do it. Look what you have lost just in the first 2 days. The diet is not easy but once you get through the first week it become normal to eat what you are eating. I now find that I forget to eat because my stomach has shrunk so much. Unfortunately in life, we have to lose people that we love, I just lost my mom in March to pancreatic cancer at just 64 years old. It makes you realize how important it is to take care of yourself now so that you can be here for your kids for as long as possible.
