jaime30024's Journal, 30 November 2012

Okay I made it through the terrible visit of Flo. She is preparing to leave and I cannot wait to see her gone. This visit was pretty rough and it got me down. I hate being a 'negative nancy' and appreciate my friends that put up with me this week. Thanks to you all I did not give in or give up. I stayed the course and according to the scales things are back to normal. Yay!

In for a long day today. EOM and then EOY inventory. I will be working late tonight and then up at 5am working again tomorrow morning. I will make a run to the store on my break today and pick something up for dinner (probably a Marie Callendar's pot pie for DH) and I will likely have some of my homemade chips and something to go with it. Wings are on the menu for lunch. I prefer making them myself (no carbs) but hate having to cut them up!!

It is raining again here, but that is okay for tonight. My 19 y/o daughter is going to some paint/rave concert and DH has been freaking out about it. It would be even worse if it were snowing right now.

I am very pleased with the scale. I had mentioned in a previous journal that I had pulled my weight loss and was comparing it. I had written it down and was using it to try to reach my mini goal of 212 by the end of December. Despite the gains that I have had I am on track. I had logged in that if my loss was like it was the last time then I should be able to hit 217.2 by Dec. 1st and I hit that mark today...so a day ahead. Yay.

So I know am 5# away from my mini goal of 212 and then I will re-set my goal for my next mini. :)
217.2 lb Lost so far: 30.8 lb.    Still to go: 28.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I whole-heartedly believe in mini-goals! They're so helpful in keeping the motivation up there. Glad to hear the bothersome Flo is gone....at least for awhile. :)

If there was a Marie Callendar's pot pie in my house, I would have a real hard time staying out of it. Living alone and working at home makes this all a lot easier for me. Of course, if I had a good man in my house, that might make me happier, too.

Good job getting back on track, Jamie! That's so not easy to do. You should be very proud of yourself (and I know you are ;) ) .. I agree with Djburney about the good man lol :P

LOL...I feel good for being able to avoid the Marie Callendar's...however I only bought ONE....just the ONE for him! It was definitely easier for me when I lived alone, but I wouldn't trade DH for anything. He has gotten better about not offering me his candies or popcorn and not rolling his eyes at me...lol. Thanks Angie I appreciate it. It isn't always easy to do and it isn't easy to stay on track sometimes so I am pretty proud of myself for not letting this week defeat me.

You did awesome girl!! Glad to hear that you are feeling like yourself again - you are doing so well and the temptations will get easier as time goes on. My husband has quit asking me also if I want this or that, now my son...well he was such a brat this morning to me. He's my youngest (19 yrs old), he's making himself a cappuccino, which is my favorite kind so what does he do?...he puts the cup under my nose and says "yummmm smells good, too bad you can't have it!". I started to laugh at him! What else can you do when they are joking around.

Great job Jamie. That 217 is wonderful. I love hitting little mini goals. If you take it off a little at a time then those little things add up to a great overall picture. FLO..ooh Flo...go away and leave Jamie alone (and I didn't mean come harass me instead!) Those cravings are awfully tempting and a whole week can sabotage you. You did great staying on track.

Thanks Rachel - I did it with the help of some great support on here. It was nice to have some place to come and whine too...LOL. The mini goals help the main goal not seem so far away and unattainable. It is also nice when you update your weight to see the progess you have made in the current on-going challenges. It is a good motivator for me and I appreicate all of my FS buddies and groups on here!

I am so with you on that awful Flo... I will not miss her when she is gone for good. I agree with everyone else on the mini-goals, they seem to really work and are not as overwhelming. Glad DH is stepping up and being better lol. Here's to an awesome week for all of us, and reaching those mini goals we set!! ♥♥

LOL...Mrs H...that is just like bratty 19 year olds...gotta love them! It does make it a little easier when those closest to us ease off on their misguided 'offers'.
