I hear you! I gained back 25 of the 50 I lost in 2018. I knew it would happen - I even wrote it on FS. I never treated the food addiction or compulsive binge eating. There is no way to stop the cycle without getting help for the addiction. Hang in there - it’s hard 😩

You didn't gain it all back, you didn't gain MORE back, you STOPPED THE CYCLE! All it means is that instead of having lost 50 lbs, you've lost 20 lbs, and that is STILL AMAZING!

Brenda, I've known you for a long time now. Try to find a way of eating that fits your life and how you cook that is healthy for you. This yo-yo is not heathy. My 2 cents figure out what might work for you. It may change along the way as this is an ever changing journey. FYI I started by fitting 6-8 servings of veggies or fruits into my day and cutting out the cream and sugar in my coffee.

I forgot-- I spent years on that yo-yo train.

You just need to know that this is a lifelong journey—- it is a lifestyle change not a diet with an end date. It makes no difference how overweight you are or how slender you are— that watching what you eat and trying to eat healthier most of the time is what you have to do. Monitoring your intake whether on this platform or one of your own creation is crucial. Without KNOWING how much and of what kinds of foods you are eating you loose a grip— portions get larger more calorie dense foods sneak in. It happens to everyone if we are not careful. If you think you might benefit from counseling do it if you can. Meanwhile just join everyone else here as we all share that quest for a healthier life.

This is a forever effort. Get back on track. Maybe a day or two of water, tea, herbal tea, will help shut down the desire for carbs.

I did that too. Lost 35, gained 25. I’m focusing on the 10 I kept off and I started a new regime Monday. Once you’re back in the zone you’ll make it happen again!! Eyes on the prize, friend! ✔️

I did that when I kept trying keto over and over. I would lose but it made me so sick to my stomach all the time I couldn't stay on it. I had to figure out a way that worked for me that I could live with and fit my life. The yoyo is not very good one's body.
