Like me some low carb too. Works quickly and just something I can do.

Are you counting calories or just low carb? Are you doing a 16:8 daily fast, or 5:2 weekly or 24-hour fasts? Sorry for all of the questions, but I am just starting to go this route and was curious what you did that worked so well. Congratulations!

To answer your questions Laurie65... I have read and agree based on results that the greatest benefits of fasting START at 16 hours... so I usually do a couple 24’s per week and will throw in a 48 once in awhile. I do log my food intake for the macros but do not focus on calorie counts... I do believe you still need to be in a deficit to lose weight but that’s where the fasting really helps for your weekly calorie count. I have tried fasting in the past while I was eating high carb and it was awful! The constant hunger and withdrawal from carbs/ sugar made it very difficult, I do notice a huge difference fasting on a low carb diet because I do not get the withdrawal symptoms associated with carbs and sugar. Good luck on your journey you got this!

Thank you for the info!! I have been doing 16:8 three times a week with moderate to low carb. I wat to gradually up it so basically I'm 16:8 most days. I've been eating low yo moderate carbs, but what you said makes complete sense.

@shindokwan How long do you fast for- when to when?? And how many times do you eat in a day? Just curious because I am stuck at this weight I've been stuck for a couple weeks now and its killing me..I need to try something different..😣🤦🏼‍♀️🙏🏻

@pugmom57... I learned a lot about the longer fasting from a YouTube channel called Snake Diet, his name is Cole but I will warn you though he swears a lot and is kind of intense and in your face... but a lot of what he says makes total sense to me and he is the reason I started doing longer fasts and it works! You can also look up on YouTube “Jason Wittrock” and “Thomas Delauer” both are Keto guys and have good info

@Taraj5387... I like 24’s cause I can still have dinner with the family. I will eat at 5:30pm and then not eat again until 5:30-6:00 the next night. I do this 1-3 times per week. I usually try to get around 1,00-1200 calories in my meal keeping it low carb. The only tough part for me is the coffee in the morning. I don’t drink it while fasting. I’ve recently read a lot of info on the One Meal A Day or “OMAD” and it makes sense, look up online if interested.

I'm all-in with low-carb/intermittent fasting, again, it's the only healthy way of eating I can sustain.

Excellent work. Let's go! #stillgrindtime #stayhungry

The combo of daily fast/feed of 16:8 and LCHF/keto works well for me, too. I agree with Phil.tx -- It's the only healthy WOE I can sustain. I just have to be alert to my "stress triggers" (ha - like car accidents!) and be especially careful not to stray when I'm stressed. The snowball effect of one cheat is deadly!
