Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 07 September 2012

I'm pretty sure my scale is broken again. Hubby says I gave the 3 pounds to him. Either way.. I don't care. I'm 167.2 lbs. I haven't been this low for about 9 years. Come on 160!

I have some to a realization. My body likes to hold onto fat in certain areas. I was playing with one of those online weight loss image thingys and the image loses weight all over. Me? Not so much. I'm pretty sure I've lost weight only in my hands, feet, and head. I think my head is shrinking. I'm becoming a pin head. Tiny hands, tiny feet, thunder thighs, a mountain range of a stomach, flabby arms, tiny head, tiny hands. Maybe I should have taken measurements in the beginning. Then I could confirm that my head is actually shrinking.

I'm pretty sure I'm getting shorter too. My pants are so long now that even the 4" heels aren't keeping them off the ground. I'm only 5'1 so my pants always seem like they're long. I tried shortening them... I always shorten them too much then I look like I'm ready for a flood so my solution is.. heels. I'm assuming this means I've probably lost inches of height or... my butt and thighs might have slimmed down to the point that they're no longer keeping my pants up. Come to think of it I do have a butt pocket in my skinny jeans this morning. I swear when I bend over there is enough of a gap between my butt and my waistband that I could fit at least a diet soda back there. But.. then it would end up sweating and I'd end up with a wet buttcrack. Or I'd forget it was there, sit on it, and end up with a wet buttcrack. Either way.. a butt pocket just isn't as useful as it should be.

Yeah losing those inches will def make those pants hang different. And I do like that my feel aren't so fat and tight in my shoes. TOLD YOU that the weight was temp due to TOM? Isn't that drop after nice?> Figured it would be a nice drop in fat since you only saw a pound increase. I usually see 3 or so. I retain fat like a gyu and it's all in my stomach. DISGUSTING!! I took a change with a non surgical proceedure a couple of months ago as a reward for losing and keeping off the 50 plus pounds. It has helped quite a bit. I need one more treatment but do to a couple of surprise financial obligations it's on hold at the moment :-(.

Well done DFW!! So the fluctuation was not an issue as it's all gone now :) Next month you will be more prepared for that fluctuation. Don't worry about the weird weighloss - I have found I lose pounds on the scale and then the scale pauses and my body kind of readjusts and it is incredible that the weight seems to go all of a sudden of one place and not another, but it does eventually adjust evenly. You must do your measurements, it keeps you sane when the scales are not moving. I also get those damn butt pockets.....also have not found any good purpose for them!! lol

@thynes - did you get the Lipo treatment where they send signals through your fat to "melt" it - I'm thinking of going to get some treatments on my tummy - would really be interested to hear what you had and how you found it.

triaby - No I had CoolSculpting done where the fat cells are frozen to flush them out of the body over a 3 months period. It's crazy expensive but no down time and results in about a 20% reduction. Right now it's only FDA approved for upper abs, lower abs and flanks although people are doing it on back rolls, arms and thighs (I was told arms and thighs have little results). I no longer am asked if I am pregnant again and that alone made it worth it although I really do need another round. The crazy cost makes me think twice before eating all that junk! Feel free to PM me for the info if you want.

Thanks for that Thynes - I did read about this type the other day, I'm keeping an eye out on Groupon as they are offering 6 sessions for around £130 (usually costs about £900) so a massive saving! I'm just waiting for an offer closer to home as the travel also bumps up the price - the one I have been reading about uses laser to break down the fat, and apparently also improves skin tone (says ideal for baby belly...considering my baby is nearly 18 it would be nice to now lose this!!). When I go for it I will report back how it goes - if I am brave enough I'll post pics....

Ahh, so Aunt Flo leaves and so does the weight! Congrats. I hope you see that the progress is worth it.

Hope you are never a witness to a crime and have to give the police a description of the criminal!

LMAO....I absolutely love to read my buddies' journals! I agree with taking measurements. I didn't do it right away and wish I had, but since I started I have lost 16.5 inches that are not allowed back on my body!! Happy for your drop, keep it up. :)

WOW - great loss this week! Good for you...and yes, you would think a butt pocket would be more useful.
