Sad news. Our dog, Ace, passed this afternoon. It is very traumatic for my son, who is schizo-affective bipolar. Ace gave him a reason to start driving again after 5 years of riding in the back seat. He would take him for a ride around town, then branched out farther until he was driving about 10 miles. He says he was his only real friend. Gonna be sad around here for a while.

there are many dogs out there that need good homes, perhaps that would be a good distraction and motivation for your son, to care for someone that needs him. Just a thought it so hard to lose our furry family members.
