A reminder - "This is The Summer" Challenge begins tomorrow!

Just did my final weigh-in so I can start the challenge at a nice even 160. I need this head start because my summer schedule is filling up with events where I won't be in control of the menu.

But enough of this negative thinking - need to keep those size 10's in view!

PS - Decided to ask you all for help! I need something I can eat while traveling. What is the best high protein meal replacement bar (no sugar alcohols please). It is for emergencies only so I honestly don't care if it tastes like sawdust!

Bren - You are great competition - remember you whooped my @#$ last time! I'll check out the Luna Bars. Starting next weekend I'm going to be traveling and eating at the mercy of others. You know how that goes.

Might want to look into Quest bars. Someone journaled about them and according to their website, it looks like they're protein bars without sugar alcohols....for MANY of their flavors.....just have to check each flavor as it seems like about half of them DO contain SAs. I haven't tried them, so can't comment on taste.

Sandy - much appreciated! I think I've seen these in my local grocery - will let you know what I think if you want the "product review". I just checked the web site and made a list of which flavors don't have the sugar alcohols. Otherwise I'd have to dig my reading glasses out to read the label (which is a royal pain).

Wow, look at that weight graph! Congrats! Can't help with the protein bars...sorry. I always pack meat sticks and cheese. :)

Nice job on the weight loss! I have tried Larabar bars. When it comes to the ingredient list, no one beats this company. The last bar I tried had 2, maybe 3 ingredients in it. This bar could actually have been a little sweeter, but for an emergency situation, it's great. And as for these summer events, hopefully there will be nutritious things on the menu for you to choose from. Good luck!

Christina - Thank you for the tip on the Larabars - will have to scout them out. I would rather they weren't too sweet else I'd be eating them like candy.
