As my husbands returns nears. I have lost weight, but I have gained a new insecurity. Understood that excess skin would be an issue with my rapid weightloss. I knew it would come. Yet I was still taken aback when I recently saw how saggy my stomach is now. Confession sometimes I wish I would have taken a little longer to lose the weight and given my skin a little more time to adjust. Hopefully I can accept it and not hate it as I did the fat that I had put on. It’s part of me for now at least.

My weight loss a been a slow process because I count calories. I have the saggy skin on my belly as well. Not a very pretty sight but I earned it. It will be a slow process to get rid of but we'll get there. Stay proud of what you've accomplished.

I’m counting calories too but my exercise was moderate and my calories kind of low. I was trying to jump start my weight loss. After a few months I’m finding it hard to eat the low calories I was eating now I’ve upped my daily intake a bit. I still want to lose but slower now.

So does anyone know how to keep from getting the saggy skin or how to get rid of it in time?

Your husband loves you and he will celebrate your weight loss success. Don't fret too much about the sags.

Sandycatiller gravity, age and genes! Your skin loses elasticity as you age, gravity is pulling it down and the genes you inherited determine your results. Even if you never had a weight issue all your life these three factors will still determine your fate. It is what it is! The best logic Accept it and be happy and healthy.

Go to a Good Plastic Surgeon, unfortunately, if you loose weight quickly, the skin is still there Trust me I know !!! For some people it does shrink, some what, for older people like me...NO !!!

Thank you all. I may or may not get surgery down the line but we plan on having one more child and with that comes growing belly of pregnancy and breastfeeding. I won’t get surgery until I’m done having babies and can get to a realistic goal weight after that. Then I’ll think about it but I’m pretty scared of surgery which is why I chose not to get weight loss surgery.

I just read an article claiming cucumber skin helps with saggy skin!

Have you tried essential oils, microdermabrasion and wraps (not The “itworks” stuff) but you can make your own I was using magnesium oil, camphor, eucalyptus, lemon, and myrhh mixed into almond oil, then I used paper towels dipped in cooled tea or coffee... then plastic wrapped and kept it on as long as I could... I tried to pick a day I was going to be home. Also I used a waist trainer after pregnancy, that was a dramatic weight loss for me. It seemed to help a lot!
