It's ironic that though I'm following the Atkins way of eating, to lose weight; it may be the Atkins products that I've been consuming, that have caused my recent stall. I remember reading, on the Atkins website, sometime ago, that sometimes their products can cause a stall. I took a good look at my food diary, and discovered that the during the period of time I was losing on a consistent basis, I wasn't really eating many of the Atkins Bars, nor drinking the shakes, regularly. Granted, there may be other factors contributing to this stall; but I'm going to try staying away from the Atkins products, for a few weeks, to see what happens. If it works, then I'll know, if not, I'll try something else. Wish me luck. :-)

It's kind of strange, I noticed that all of the sudden more people seem to have problems with sugar alcohol, including me. It triggered something I never had to that extend before, a bigger craving for sweets than ever. It is really hard to stay away from it. Right now I try to compensate by having two or three strawberries instead of an Atkins bar. Not less carbs but at least healthier. And is that not the ultimate goal, eating healthier?

If the goal is to drop the sugar alcohols, don't forget to drop the Russell Stover products, as well. (Please don't shoot the messenger.... :))

LOL Yeah, I thought of that, and will be avoiding those too, but they are grrrreat with my morning coffee; time to switch back to green tea for awhile. :-)

Yep the Russell Stovers, they can really make us stumble. Last night, for the first time in a week, I gave in to some. :( not a good idea. Strawberries only, Jozette has that right :)

Jess, for me, beef can be for breakfast, lunch, or dinner; I get some beef chuck eye steaks, that are about 4 ounces, to go with my eggs in the morning. LOL

In the Atkins book (not the newest one) Dr. Atkins writes about curving your gravings for sweets with glutamine. It is supposed to take about two days to kick in, but supposedly works.

I seem to complain often about the limited offerings of our little grocery store...but think that I am blessed that it does not carry Russell Stover chocolates...of course, I can fall into a handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips in a heart beat...so I am not one to cast any stones! I have been trying to stay clean for the past week and while I am not really having fun, the cravings seem to have disappeared. Of course, I am enjoying the Silk Almond Milk at night with the DaVinci syrups...I will try your version of a smoothie when I find the Polander preserves...we don't have those in our store either! And yes, GOOD LUCK!
