I love this place that I've found!
Fat Secret, it's like Smuckers, with a name like that, it's got to be good! Some may be too young to recognize that phrase, but it's a GOOD thing!
When I found this place in August of this year, I figured I'd use it to log my food and see how things went. Then one day, I made a journal entry.... I figured that was my journal and no one would see it, then I got replies from people asking how they could help, providing me with positive energy, and really acting like they cared!
"WOW! Wait a minute, there are others out there with the same issues/goals that I have?"
That's what I said to myself, so I tested the waters a bit and posted bit more. Yep, the folks on this crazy place wanted to help!
I've never been serious about losing weight until mid July of this year, and even when I joined this site, I figured I'd move along for a few weeks and then go on with life as I've done before.
But, I learned something, there are folks that WANT me to succeed! There are people that will follow my progress and virtually slap me upside the head when I want to be bad! There are people that MAKE me want to succeed! After a few weeks, I started to really like this place!
Move forward to today, greater than 3 months in, I've also become one of "those" people on here! I have folks that I look for on a daily basis to see how they are and how they are doing. When I don't see them for a few days, I get worried! I've provided support, given a few virtual head slaps, and I've been humbled as well.
Since I joined, I've lost over 50 pounds! If I'd been trying to do this alone, I wouldn't be at this point. Why, because I've gotten used to disappointing myself, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna disappoint people that have taken me on as a project! People that BELIEVE in me! People that have never met me, but they want me to succeed!
Yeah, there are days I want to quit, but I'm NOT gonna let YOU down! I'm gonna do this! Because I want to, and because my FS family will refuse to let me fail as long as I interact with them!
Yeah, some of you will say that I've said/done this before, but I say THANK YOU to FS and to ALL of the folks here! I really wish the rest of the world could see what we have going on here!
Now, it's Friday night, let's rock this weekend and come into Monday WINNING and LOSING!
